A place to practice awareness of body and mind
Dhammadipa is a vipassana meditation center in the Theravada tradition, following the line of Mahasi Sayadaw. The center offers:
- the opportunity to practice vipassana meditation;
- the opportunity to study the teaching of the Buddha (dhamma and abhidhamma) and
- related activities, such as special days revolving around specific themes, like for instance metta meditation, or the celebration of a Buddhist holiday.
Dhammadipa is an open sangha, or community of practitioners. Here, people in search of purpose and spirituality can learn about and familiarize themselves with the Buddhist path of development. For those already on this path, the center serves as a support to deepen insight and wisdom.
Meditations
Sitting, standing, walking, lying and exercising exercises that increase in intensity from 20 minutes to an hour and continue to meditate up to a day; a weekend without interruption up to 10 days in a row.
Courses
The courses offer a solid basis for meditation practice combined with theoretical consideration.
Retreats
The city retreat is a form of retreat in which the practice is continuously integrated into the normal daily rhythm for 10 days.
Various activities
Discuss themes around vipassana, abhidhamma and buddhism in groups and guidelines for their integration into daily life.
